Today’s session began with deep tenderness. My client arrived exhausted—fragile from carrying too much for too long. What unfolded was a journey of recognition, release, and reclamation. Tears paved the way for an inner child to emerge—one who had taken on the role of the adult far too early, stepping into responsibilities that were never hers to carry.
As we explored her inner landscape through sound and compassionate inquiry, she began to externalize her experience using a three-dimensional map with miniature figures. At the top of the photo, you see a scattered, chaotic collection of figures—jumbled, stacked, and without order. Interestingly, these were not part of the intentional map. These were the figures that were not chosen. They remained outside the boundaries of her desired family system, yet their disarray mirrored her lived reality—chaotic, burdened, and devoid of space for individuality or joy. In contrast, what she built on the circular mat was a vision of her highest past potential—a reimagined family system, infused with healing. This map became a sacred container to cast new energies: one of coherence, beauty, play, and connection. Trees, water, and fire marked an ecosystem where everyone belonged. Grandparents supported parents. Parents stood in their power. Children played in the meadow, free from judgment or responsibility. The circle held wisdom, joy, friendship, and mutual care. And in this vision, she saw clearly: she no longer had to take on what was never hers. She could return to her authentic self, reclaiming boundaries, joy, and her own rhythm. From this realization, a power song emerged—channeled through her voice in the moment: “I’m allowed to disappoint, I’m allowed to disappoint Everyone, everyone, everyone, everyone…” This wasn’t rebellion—it was liberation. No longer needing to prove her worth through sacrifice, she is now building the inner muscles to honor her truth, even if that truth unsettles old family contracts. Her takeaway: Live with playfulness. Enjoy connection. Allow life to give to me. Be loyal to myself. I don’t have to carry what’s not mine. By creating this map of her desired past, she was able to cast a healing light on what was missing—and what she was finally ready to release. To those walking a similar path: You are not alone. You are building a new world. One circle, one sound, one liberated child at a time. What if disappointing others was the first step to truly belonging to yourself? —Delphi
